The Boss – Originally from a Warehousing and IT background, Jeremy worked at Lacoste for 20 years before owning and running Cornerstone Autos Ltd. Jeremy’s main passions are bikes and cars and every year can been found sat in a hedge at the Isle of Man either enjoying the TT or Manx Grand Prix.
The future – introduce motorbikes into the business so that biking customers can receive a better service than others currently provide them.
I started in the Motor Trade @ the age of 14 as a Saturday morning boy, on leaving school did a Motor vehicle apprenticeship, then progressed through the trade, as Motor vehicle Technician, service adviser, Reception Supervisor, Workshop Controller, Service Manager and Group Aftersales Manager. I have mainly worked in main Dealerships and have previously worked with Jaguar,Landrover,Ford, Mitsubishi, Hyundai and Chevrolet. My passion is Cars, classics, customs and Hotrods. I am interested in Motorsport and sometimes help backstage on amateur theatrical productions.
Motorbike Technician and mechanic
I have worked in the Motor trade for over 40 years , I am also a motor cycle Mot bike tester and enjoy working on bikes. I also like to skittle every week, I like to help run a motor cycle ride out for charity and I like to travel with the skittle team.
Mercedes Specialist Technician
I started my apprenticeship in Taunton at Rolls Royce/Jaguar , upon qualification i transferred over to Mercedes Benz. I continued to work within the Mercedes main dealerships for a further 15 years and for the past 4 years i have worked for an Independent Mercedes Specialist Garage.
Qualified from SCAT Taunton in 1990 and have worked on a variety of vehicles ranging from small cars and motorbikes up to Agricultural vehicles and HGV’s. I have worked in a number of garages in the South West area from small family run business’s to large independent garages , have experience in fitting clutches,timing belts and carrying out engine rebuilds.
General interests include motorbike riding and attending rallies countrywide, walking around the local area with a crazy Springer Spaniel and general socializing of course the local pub
Vehicle Technician / Auto Electrician
Been involved in the motor industry since the early 1980’s , mainly in the welding and auto electrical side of car maintenance , i have a grounding in Classic Cars and their associated repairs . I was also the chairman of the local classic car club . I have been doing mechanical repairs to all types of cars in the trade since the 90’s , in the early 2000’s i obtained my VOSA licence class 4 and more recently updated it to include Class 7. I own several Morris Minor’s and also help local friends with all of their classic cars and believe that these type of cars in all classic forms are loved members of the family. I am pleased to see that at Cornerstone we are seeing more and more classic vehicles through the workshop doors having recently been working on a 1936 Austin 10 Ruby and many others.
Apprentice Vehicle Technician
Complete GCSE’s at Huish Academy and then moved into the motor industry after a number of part time jobs, I am now completing level 3 IMI Qualification at Yeovil College.
General interested include Cycling and motorcycles, I also have a strong interest in electronics and computers and grateful to my boss for allowing me store and work on my 1965 Morris Minor
